An excellent read about two girls that had been switched at birth. One was Amish and the other a typical American girl who both found out through a letter from a nurse that was getting old and couldn’t contain the truth about the switch any longer. An Amish family in the area of Lancaster, Pa. had raised Rachel Yoder and Ellie Shore grew up in the New York City area and had a lucrative job.

Books are the gateway to learning. They let us explore different worlds, people, languages, foods, etc. Sometimes the things we learn from books are obvious, such as reading a recipe for chocolate chip cookies or a guide to your new iPhone, but oftentimes it’s the less obvious lessons that are important.

Living is meaningful and beautiful on its own. It doesn’t take much to be happy. Good Luck and Best Wishes, an ode to life, is included in the short story collection Street Wizards and Other New Folklore, one volume of 21st Century Chinese Literature, which presents a kaleidoscope of Chinese folk customs and provides a view of the multifaceted and living China.

At home in his topic’s habitat, History-Geography Professor and author Dailey makes his home in Bethlehem, Israel; he attempts to correlate modern expectations with his perception of first century fulfillment! Thus, he commends Revelation’s great Armageddon to a ‘future world end.’

How many times have you gone to a Chinese restaurant and figured out what animal from the Chinese zodiac represented you? You also probably read the description of those of that animal’s characteristics and nodded in agreement or shook your head thinking, “that’s not me.” But have you ever wanted to know more about the Chinese zodiac and the twelve animals? Have you ever wondered how these twelve animals came to represent different years? Well, wonder no longer. “The 12 Chinese Animals: Create Harmony In Your Daily Life Through Ancient Chinese Wisdom” by Master Zhongxian Wu presents what can be a complex Eastern topic in a very easy to understand and accessible manner for the Western reader.

I’ve read stacks of books-and written several-about Islam, Muslims and the Middle East. But I’ve never encountered anything that compares with Georges Houssney’s new book, Engaging Islam. In its 208 pages, you’ll see Muslims the way you’ve never seen them before, through the eyes of Christ in Houssney.

Yes, Pakistan is a very important country, and its location makes it a pivotal focal point for that part of the world. Consider if you will that India has 1.3 billion people and borders Pakistan.

One of the most interesting regions of the world is Central Asia. And it is interesting because Americans don’t know a whole lot about this area, even though so much early history had been written there. Consider the old silk roads, Genghis Khan, and the rise of the USSR.

Libya is a very important country in North Africa, and what happens there does affect the region, much more than you might believe. If you’ve watched the UN meetings on TV you can immediately see there is a bit of animosity between the Western World and Libya. And at one time, not in the long ago distant past, Libya was practically considered a terrorist state, actually and officially – it was by the US State Department.

Delve Into The World Of Healing Through Ceremony as this story takes us to the depths of our unconscious and back up again. A thoughtful read for anyone who wants to ‘peel the onion’ of their existence.
